Flight evidence
OBA Faraday
0.3 m electromagnetic mass driver
A CubeSat mission to demonstrate controlled electromagnetic acceleration in orbit.
From flight evidence to orbital infrastructure
Rideshare launches deliver satellites to shared orbits, not always to their final destination. Moving between orbits still costs propellant, mass and time.
OBA Space develops electromagnetic acceleration systems that use electrical energy to move payloads in orbit, in three stages.
Flight evidence
0.3 m electromagnetic mass driver
A CubeSat mission to demonstrate controlled electromagnetic acceleration in orbit.
First commercial application
~3 m electromagnetic mass driver
A deployment system for OTVs and upper stages, sending small satellites towards VLEO.
Reusable infrastructure
30+ m orbital infrastructure
Our long-term vision for orbital logistics, cargo transport and future debris-removal services.

OBA Faraday · Target launch 2028
A CubeSat mission designed to accelerate small test payloads with a 0.3 m electromagnetic mass driver and measure velocity, energy and spacecraft response in orbit. Developed within the ESA BIC Andalusia incubation programme.
How it works
A coil is energised, a strong magnetic field is generated and the payload is accelerated linearly, without chemical propellant during the acceleration.
Sequential electromagnetic stages designed for controlled energy transfer.
Controlled storage and delivery of energy to each acceleration stage.
Coordinated timing, control and safety logic for every stage.
Optical, electrical and thermal evidence during the demonstration.
Integration concept · not to scale
OBA Ampere · First commercial application
OBA Ampere is an electromagnetic deployment system designed for integration into orbital transfer vehicles and rocket upper stages. A controlled impulse sends small satellites from shared LEO orbits towards Very Low Earth Orbit, closer to Earth for sharper imagery and lower latency.
Open pre-seed round
Our pre-seed round advances OBA Faraday and technology development, IP protection and industry visibility, alongside secured public support and pending applications.
